Bagan makes its debut in the Toho 30cm series!
Bagan first appeared as the final boss in the 1993 Super Nintendo game Super Godzilla, and later in the poster creation section of the 1996 CD-ROM Godzilla Movie Studio Tour. Even before these appearances, Bagan was planned for a new movie but never made it to the screen, earning the title of "phantom monster." However, in 2022, Bagan finally made its live-action debut in the Blu-ray/DVD release of Monster Puppet Show Godzilla Ban.
For Godzilla: Battle Royale, a massive puppet based on Bagan's earlier designs was created, and in Mothra vs. Bagan: Prologue, the monster engaged in an epic battle that lived up to its legendary status.
The iconic head, wide-spanning wings, and muscle fiber-like structure have been masterfully recreated by Hideyuki Kobayashi of Atelier Koganemushi. Kobayashi, known for directing Godzilla vs. Goblin Gang, also crafted the Bagan puppet used in filming. This figure beautifully captures the same impact as the original puppet, with different angles offering unique and dynamic impressions.
