The Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection introduces the "Godzilla (2016) 4th Form Ortho Version," a tribute to the release of the "Shin Godzilla: Ortho" Blu-ray and DVD, available for a limited time in 2023. This edition, based on Sakai Yuji's 2017 garage kit model, features a stunning monochrome paint job inspired by Godzilla from the iconic overpass scene in the trailer—a scene Sakai considers the coolest.
Under Sakai’s meticulous supervision, the clear parts are painted silver from the inside, creating the effect of the entire body emitting light. The Godzilla Store Limited Edition goes a step further with a built-in LED light-up feature, recreating the look of Godzilla shining white in the darkness of the night, just as seen in the movie.
Sakai personally created the image for this "Godzilla (2016) Ortho Version" by visiting Ogigatani in Kamakura, the movie’s filming location. He captured photos from the same angles used in the film and combined them with the "Godzilla (2016) 4th Form Ortho Version" model for an authentic representation.
- The light-up feature requires the included USB cable. Please purchase a USB AC adapter separately for use with a household outlet.
As with the initial release, this version is produced using a master mold created from Sakai’s cast prototype converted to wax. This process minimizes wear during production and ensures the preservation of intricate details.
