The Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection proudly presents a revamped version of “Godzilla (2016) 4th Form” featuring an all-new light-up function!
This figure, meticulously crafted from Sakai Yuji's garage kit prototype, captures the iconic overpass scene from the movie’s trailer, first revealed in 2017. Sakai, who considers this Godzilla to be the coolest, personally supervised the design process to ensure authenticity and detail.
Under Sakai’s guidance, transparent parts of the model have been intricately painted internally to enhance its impressive appearance. Now, for the first time, LED lights have been integrated into the figure, a feature not available in the 2018 pre-painted soft vinyl release. This addition provides the figure with its signature red glow, allowing you to recreate the chilling red-lit Godzilla scene from the movie.
The illustration for this “Godzilla (2016) Light-up Version” was created by Sakai himself. He visited Onarigaya in Kamakura City, the original filming location, to take photos from the same angles seen in the movie. These were then composited with the model to create a stunning, movie-accurate illustration.
- The light-up feature requires the included USB cable. Please purchase a USB AC adapter separately for use with a household outlet.
As with the initial release, this version is produced using a master mold created from a cast prototype converted to wax. This process minimizes wear during production and ensures the preservation of intricate details.
